HERPETORAMA

Organized by Herpeto Capixaba, the HERPETORAMA is a Scientific Conference that is gathering around fifty renowned researchers from the Brazilian Herpetology, as well as related areas to teach us about Brazilian amphibians and reptiles!

Herpetology is a branch of zoology that studies amphibians and reptiles, originated from the Greek word, HERPEIN, which means "to creep". ORAMA, also of Greek origin, means “that which is seen, visible object, sight, spectacle”. And that’s exactly what the HERPETO CAPIXABA will once more perform: a real Spectacle of scientific-academic Herpetology!

Originated from Herpeto Capixaba’s second anniversary, the HERPETORAMA was a success since its first edition. The theme “Herpetology for Everyone”, which pillar was social inclusion, became our MOTTO! Our mission is to deliver quality herpetological content throughout Brazil and beyond!

Hence, in this 2nd edition, the theme ‘HERPETOLOGY FOR EVERYONE’ comes back as strong as ever, having ACCESSIBILITY as the main pillar! There will be more than 50 hours of herpetological content! Subtitled in English, Brazilian Portuguese and Brazilian Sign Language!

Look for the Organizing Committee or for one of our 15 Ambassadors to clarify any doubts!

All this from the comfort of your home! Although Herpetorama is a Hybrid Conference (presential and online), this year, due to Covid-19 pandemic, it will be entirely online! The transmission will be through video conference on a Webinar platform.

Date: 1st to 4th of October 2020

Watch from the comfort of your home!

The first edition in 2019, which was organized and executed in 29 days, being presential and online, as well as a very low cost fee, we had 260 subscribers! There were herps from 20 federative units of Brazil, among other participants from other countries! There were 35 speakers and 11 mini-course teachers.
